Blue Dot Yard Signs
In my daily routine walking dogs, I started to notice these white signs with a single blue dot in the center. I was delighted to find that they were symbolic of Douglas County's one electoral vote supporting a more understanding, inclusive, and diverse community. I jumped at the chance to "Do Something!" like so many other volunteers this summer who have taken up this challenge to spread the love. I care about my neighbors and my neighborhood.
I am blown away by how many people embraced this! Thank you to the hundreds of people who have put signs in their yards in solidarity! It has been inspiring and fills me with hope! And it has been wonderful to meet so many awesome people (and your awesome dogs!) I am truly going to miss that part of this endeavor, but the fall is a very busy time for me caring for people's loved ones, and I'll be shifting my focus to filling out postcards and getting the word out in other ways!
FYI: There are still lots of places you can get Blue Dot signs online, so if you are still looking for one, they shouldn't be hard to find!
